Balika Durasth Shiksha Yojana recently by State Government of Rajasthan. Chief Minister of Rajasthan again launched a scheme for girls and women for education. This scheme can prove to be a boon for those girls and women who could not go out and study.

Now the girls and women of Rajasthan will be able to shape their future through this scheme. And they will be able to get higher education.

About this scheme

Rajasthan chief Minister Mr. Ashok Gehlot has announced to implement of this announcement in the budget in the state of Rajasthan. This scheme is for those girls and women of Rajasthan who leave their studies midway due to some reason. After joining this scheme they will be able to take their higher education.

What Is distance education

Distance Education means to create and provide access to learning when the sources or information and the learner are separated by distance and time. In other words, distance learning is the process of creating an educational experience of equal qualitative value for the learners to best suit their needs outside the classroom.

There are following two types of distance learning:-

• The first method is the traditional/old method is by post.
• The second method is completely new which is through the internet.

From which Universities will distance education be provided

Under the scheme study will be conducted through distance Durasth Shiksha Yojana by the State Government-aided University, State institution/Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, Kota. The free amount paid by them to the institutes for studies will be reimbursed.

Under Durasth Shiksha Yojana 16,000 seats in graduate level courses, 5300 post-graduate courses,10,000 in diploma courses, 3000 in post-graduate diploma courses, and 2003 certified courses under this scheme for fee reimbursed of girls and women pursuing higher education through distance medium have been done.

The objective of this scheme

The main objective of this scheme is to continue those girls and women with the higher education who are unable to continue their study due to some reason. Through this scheme, we can get the corporation of those girls and women in social work.

Many girls and women who want to get higher education, but due to some reason they are not able to go to college and university, due to which they leave their education in the middle and are not able to fulfill their dreams. But now these girls and women will be connected through the Rajasthan Balika Durasth Shiksha Yojana.

Eligibility

1. Applicant women and girls should be a permanent resident of Rajasthan.
2. Women and girls who have passed class 12th are eligible for this scheme.
3. Those women and girls can apply in this who are unable to complete their higher education due to some reason.

• The Chief Minister of Rajasthan announced Balika Shiksha Durasth Yojana in the Rajasthan budget 2022-23.
• Rupees 14.83 crores was sanctioned for this scheme.
